applebomb : A friend of mine (as well as I, personally) ask that you consider signing the following petition:
link
If you don't know who Uwe Boll is, he is the man responsible for Video Game movie flops such as House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Blood Rayne, and so forth. It is not enough to say that he lacks writing and directing talent, but he is also overconfident to the point where he calls fellow (more talented and successful) directors Spielberg and Bay "f-ing retards".
He has also tried to get rights to make a WoW movie and got this reply from Blizzard "'We will not sell the movie rights, not to you, especially not to you."
Further information here:

He promises not to make movies if the petition gets 1,000,000 signatures.
For the sake of preserving the reputations of the games both you and I love, please sign the petition and get that man out of Hollywood.
Thank you!

TheReplaced : Wow, this Boll guy has a lot of balls. Micheal Bay's Transformers alone had "a $155.4 million opening week" (source). That's kind of fifteen times his biggest movie. If I could spam sign that petition, I would.
Darkwar4ever : I was reading on him yesterday. . . found out that each movie he made had a 50% loss money wise.
However, his investors gets the money back from the governement it his movie fails, also they get a no tax application as well. . . so. . . yeah.
applebomb : Yeah but just because people don't lose all their money doesn't warrent him the right to be an ass.
applebomb : Nothing, I repeat, nothing gives anyone the right to publicly criticize others to make up for their own shortcomings. The German government isn't at fault for his finding a loophole. Even if it is a publicity stunt, it would only reflect badly upon him for not ceasing to produce movies. He has neither the charm nor personality to be a likeable bad director like Ed Wood. How he managed to get the rights to produce such horrible films is beyond anyone.
Also, unfortunately, in case you didn't notice, using an ellipsis on MMOT results in a comma. I still don't understand what the point of not allowing ellipsis is but I don't like using spaces between periods since it's grammatically incorrect so I use them at a minimal. Also, I can't use a number pad to make the ellipsis seeing as I am using a laptop. I don't think a comma takes away from the effect, nor is it really relevant.
